The museum, located in the heart of the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse National Park, explores and questions the craftsmanship village communities. It is also a mirror of the cultural and social evolutions that have passed through the region for two centuries. Through scientific research (DIRE-ULB), the promotion of a vast collection (tools, furniture, agricultural machinery, posters...), events and educational activities, the museum invites you to dive into the 'history Walloon countryside. Anchored in its time, the Ecomuseum of Viroin works - finally - to promote current thinking on rurality and the notion of ecological transition.
